Injury and recovery, the treatment.

When a soft-tissue injury becomes chronic, it is rarely down to a single cause.Repairs get stuck because of underlying roadblocks that standard rehabilitation does not address: unresolved low-grade inflammation, an age-related decline in the energy your cells produce, hormonal shifts that alter how tissue rebuilds.

01

Not simply normal. Optimal.

A standard check-up has one job: find disease. It does that well, and when it finds nothing, it says normal. Normal means nothing is wrong. It doesn't mean your body is working at the level it's still capable of. Those are two different questions, and every programme we build starts from the person caught between them: tests fine, self not fine, both true.

We believe normal is a floor, not a target. The whole programme is built on that. Not simply normal. Optimal.

Every programme works in three layers, in order. Lifestyle first: movement, sleep, daylight and food, the foundation and the strongest lever of the three, and yours to keep whether or not anything is ever prescribed. Supplements second, for the specific raw materials your everyday diet isn't supplying. Prescription therapies third, individually prescribed where your doctor decides they're clinically right and the first two layers aren't enough on their own. The prescribed pieces are multipliers for your daily habits, not substitutes for them.

02

Before you read on

Most soft-tissue injuries heal safely with time and the right conditions. The advice in this guide supports that natural schedule.

All of that is here to send a small number of people to the right place first, and not to worry the rest of you.

03

Your body hasn't forgotten how to heal

When a soft-tissue injury becomes chronic, it is rarely down to a single cause. Repairs get stuck because of underlying roadblocks that standard rehabilitation does not address: unresolved low-grade inflammation, an age-related decline in the energy your cells produce, hormonal shifts that alter how tissue rebuilds.

We start from the assumption that the machinery still works. Our aim is not simply to manage the pain, but to clear what is getting in the way, so the repair your body already knows how to run can finish, and hold.

04

When healing stalls

Most injuries finish their three stages and resolve. For some, they don't, and what persists is often not the original injury still being damaged, but the repair process itself getting stuck, never quite finishing. If you are months in, have tried more than one approach, and are still not back, that plateau is itself the signal. The question shifts from what else can I try to what is getting in the way of this finishing.

This programme is for you if

Your injury has lasted longer than it should have. Months in, more than one practitioner seen, more than one thing tried, and still not back. Tendon, muscle, ligament, persistent joint pain, or a wound that won't close. It is also for the recent injury you don't want to simply wait out: recovering as fully and as quickly as your biology allows.

This programme is not for you if

Your injury is under about four weeks old and improving: that is usually the normal healing window, so follow this guide. And it is not for a broken bone, a suspected fracture, or a structural injury needing surgery; those need your GP, an emergency department, or an orthopaedic specialist.

We work alongside your physio and GP; we do not replace them.

How it works, and what it costs

We believe every cost should be visible before anyone commits to anything. Here is our completely transparent, four-step programme:

  1. Testing: You give blood at a convenient local collection centre. We read your results against optimal function, not just the "normal" range. This screens for immediate health concerns and gives your doctor a complete map of where to look.
  2. The consultation: You speak with a senior, AHPRA-registered doctor who has read your entire file before the call starts. They will explain in plain language exactly what is driving your symptoms and what to do about it.
  3. Your 90-day plan: You and the doctor build a highly personalised plan. We work in three layers: lifestyle first, supplements where diet leaves gaps, and prescribed therapies only if needed as multipliers for daily habits. There are no standard bundles.
  4. Measuring again: We believe the only honest way to know if something is working is to measure again. You retest at three to six months to see how your body is responding, and the plan adapts. We work alongside your regular GP, never instead of them, and keep them informed at every stage if you choose.

What it costs

We sell answers, not just blood tests and a consult. A targeted assessment is $195. This one-off price covers your blood testing, your time with the doctor, and the written 90-day plan that comes out of it. This plan is yours to keep, even if the doctor prescribes nothing at all.

Ongoing treatments and plans

  • The lifestyle layer: The lifestyle recommendations in your plan are your strongest lever. They cost nothing to act on and are yours forever.
  • Treatments: If your results show you need supplements or advanced therapeutics, that is a separate decision made after you have your answers. Prescribed therapies are multipliers for daily habits.
  • Total transparency: Most people who go ahead spend between $100 and $300 each month, depending on what they choose. You will see the price of every item and the total as it builds, before you agree to any of it.
  • No lock-ins: There are absolutely no lock-in contracts. If the programme is not right for you, your doctor will tell you honestly.

06

Why we describe therapies by what they do

You'll notice this guide never names a prescription therapy. That is Australian law: the TGA does not allow prescription treatments to be named in public material, and we treat the rule as a design constraint rather than an obstacle, so this guide was written inside it.

What we can tell you is how we choose. Every therapy in our toolkit is selected for the mechanism it works on: metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, or the signalling your body's messaging runs on. Your results show which of those mechanisms have drifted, and your doctor matches therapy to mechanism, with one goal: to restore the biological function you have been missing, not to add something your body never asked for.

The names come later, at the consultation, because that is the one place they can be discussed properly: with a doctor who has measured and met you, and who will also tell you if none of them is right for you at all.

07

Where a stalled repair gets stuck

Any one of these can hold up a recovery, and often it's all three at once.

Blood supply

Tendons and ligaments barely get any blood, so they run repair on a trickle, and are the most likely to stall part-way.

The collagen rebuild

Repair means laying down fresh collagen and aligning it into strong, load-bearing tissue: a build that can get stuck half-finished.

Inflammation that won't budge

Chronic, low-grade inflammation holds tissue in a repair-blocking state, so the body never quite moves out of damage mode.

Your doctor addresses these contributors directly, through targeted nutrition and precise medical interventions.

08

The fuel: supplements

During repair and remodelling you are physically rebuilding tissue, and need the raw materials to do it. Each of these is supported by evidence for recovery, not fashion, and which ones (if any) suit you is a clinical decision.

Injury & Muscle Recovery Powder

(collagen · vitamin C · magnesium · creatine: rebuilds tissue). A compounded powder combining collagen, vitamin C, magnesium and creatine in a single daily scoop. Collagen and vitamin C supply the building blocks for tendon and ligament repair, taken shortly before you load; creatine and magnesium help preserve muscle while you're less active.

Muscle Recovery Capsules

(curcumin · zinc · vitamin D3: calms inflammation). A compounded capsule combining high-absorption curcumin, zinc and vitamin D3. Curcumin calms the low-grade inflammation that stalls repair, without the long-term risks of daily anti-inflammatory drugs; zinc and vitamin D3 support the cells that rebuild tissue.

Omega-3 EPA/DHA

(high-EPA fish oil: shapes inflammation). A high-dose, high-EPA fish oil. Helps steer the inflammatory response towards resolution rather than a drawn-out holding pattern: strongest where there is inflammation to calm.

CoQ10 as Ubiquinol

(fuels repair). Ubiquinol, the active form of CoQ10 your body uses directly. Repair happens inside your mitochondria; ubiquinol supports the energy production that drives it: useful especially over the age of 40, or on a statin, when your own levels fall.

09

The signals: prescribed therapy

These are prescription-only, compounded to you individually, and built in layers: the first layer is the foundation under every recovery bundle, with further layers added where your clinical picture calls for it. This is the full range that may be suitable, not a set list you'll all receive. Which layers go on your plan, and their exact names, are discussed at your consultation, once your doctor has reviewed your blood results. Your prescriber sets every dose and schedule, and their instructions always override any general information here.

Tissue-repair signalling

(layer one: the foundation). A prescribed therapy that acts on the local repair cascade at the site of the injury. Prescribed to accelerate the tissue-repair signals directly where the injury is, so a repair that has stalled can start moving again.

Structure & blood supply

(layer two: skin and scar). Therapy directed at new blood-vessel growth and the deposition of fresh collagen. Prescribed to support the blood supply and collagen rebuild that poorly supplied tendon and ligament tissue struggles to complete on its own.

Cellular energy

(layer three: energy). Taken as capsules within the bundle. Prescribed to support the mitochondrial energy that fuels repair: most relevant over 40, or where recovery is slow or recurrent.

Growth & recovery

(suggested with layer three). In selected cases, therapy that supports your body's own natural growth-hormone release. Prescribed to support anabolic recovery: preserving lean muscle mass and improving the broader environment your tissue repairs in.

Together, supplements restock the raw materials and prescribed therapy switches the repair signals back on. Your plan draws on only the pieces that fit your clinical picture.

The one idea

If you take one idea from this whole guide, let it be this: modern recovery is active, not passive. Protect briefly, then load sensibly.

The fine print

Important, please read this.

This guide provides general information, not a clinical diagnosis or personalised medical advice. This section plainly sets out what a guide cannot do, and when to see a medical professional in person.

Your next step

The habits in this guide are good for everyone.

However, deciding which therapies suit you is a clinical question answered only by your unique results. We believe nothing should be prescribed to a person a doctor has not measured and met.

Getting your answers is the next step. You give blood locally. A senior doctor reviews your whole picture before your consultation, so your time is spent strictly on action. Finally, you see every cost before agreeing to anything.
